Project Update

Phase 4 of the Main Street Streetscape is really shaping up! Crews working between 5th and 6th street on the South side are finishing up work on the installation of sidewalks and brick pavers.

Meanwhile, portions of Phase 5 work have begun, starting with the first step of saw cutting in front of buildings between 5th and 6th-North side. Sidewalk removals will also begin on Ferry and Main on 6th.

Looking ahead for the next few weeks:

• Monday July 11th and Tuesday July 12th: 5th St. from Main to Columbia will close to traffic.
• Tuesday July 12th: 6th St. will close and remain close for approximately 2 months.
• Monday, July 18th traffic will flip on 5th and 6th north side.

Remember, if you are looking for somewhere to park when visiting downtown, there is plenty of off-street parking on the blocks surrounding the project sites, as well as the city parking garage on 5th and Columbia, which is free evenings and weekends.
