Weekly Update 10/6/2020
Last week, (September 28 – October 2) saw crews move over to the north side of Main Street between 9th and 10th Streets. In that section, they installed temporary stone access points for residents and businesses once the old sidewalk was removed. Concrete was poured for the curb and gutter along the north side of Main Street. The paver bases, concrete ramps, and brick pavers were poured and installed as well. Huston Electric was onsite last week to install and set the new street lighting throughout the Streetscapes Project. Lastly, the removal process of existing roadway along the south portion of N. 10th St. between Main and Columbia Streets was begun. This week, (October 5th – 9th) crews will continue the removal process of N. 10th St. followed by the installation of safe temporary access points. Framing for the curb and gutter along N. 10th St. between Main and Columbia Streets will begin, then the pouring of concrete. Huston Electric will be onsite again this week to continue installing conduit and pulling wire for the new street lighting.
