Weekly Update (10/30/16 – 11/05/16)

Progress on the Main Street Streetscapes project abounds this week. Keep your eyes peeled for the following updates:

Side saw cutting and removals from 6th to 7th streets south side starting Monday
Side tree well CU soil excavation continues from 6th to 7th streets south side
Milling on the main alley between 4th, 5th, and 6th streets
Paving up to 6th Street on Main Street
Tree installation later in the week
Closures on 6th and 7th streets throughout the day with plans to reopen in the evenings
Removals and stone prepping in the Frontier parking lot

Join the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra at the Long Center for a musical party celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial! They will be honoring the big 2-0-0 with a lineup of local talent, Hoosier songwriters and composers, and a large scale multi-screen visual presentation by artist Petronio Bendito of historic homegrown artwork in collaboration with ArtSmart: Indiana and the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette.
