Weekly Update (10/30/16 – 11/05/16)
Progress on the Main Street Streetscapes project abounds this week. Keep your eyes peeled for the following updates:
- Side saw cutting and removals from 6th to 7th streets south side starting Monday
- Side tree well CU soil excavation continues from 6th to 7th streets south side
- Milling on the main alley between 4th, 5th, and 6th streets
- Paving up to 6th Street on Main Street
- Tree installation later in the week
- Closures on 6th and 7th streets throughout the day with plans to reopen in the evenings
- Removals and stone prepping in the Frontier parking lot

200 Candles: A Hoosier Birthday Bash
Join the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra at the Long Center for a musical party celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial! They will be honoring the big 2-0-0 with a lineup of local talent, Hoosier songwriters and composers, and a large scale multi-screen visual presentation by artist Petronio Bendito of historic homegrown artwork in collaboration with ArtSmart: Indiana and the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette.
