Weekly Update (12/19/2016 – 12/23/2016)
Can you see the light at the end of the Streetscapes tunnel? We can! Most major construction aside from 7th Street has wrapped up and now we can focus on finishing touches through the end of the year. Weather permitting, crews will be pouring concrete on the east side of Main and 7th streets near Instant Copy from Tuesday, December 20th to Thursday, December 22nd. All remaining sidewalk brick pavers will be installed by the end of the year.
Through the end of the year, be on the lookout for:
- Installation of all remaining sidewalk brick pavers
- Continued installation of light poles, parking signs, and stop signs
- 7th Street remaining closed
Because low temperatures will become a factor for several other finishing touches, the following will be completed in Spring 2017:
- Planting of remaining trees
- Surfacing of the Frontier alley
- Street striping
