Weekly Update 5/26/20

Progress is coming along for Phase 3 of the Streetscape Project.  In the past few weeks, construction continues with the installation of the storm water system throughout the 10^th and Main Street areas. Duke Energy also installed a new service pole. This week (May 26^th-29^th) will see the completion of the installation of the storm water system throughout the entire Phase 3 project (weather pending).  Crews will also begin the removal process of sidewalk and curb along North 10^th Street from Ferry to Main Street toward the end of the week. They will also be installing temporary access points to the businesses and residents along North 10^th Street once the sidewalk is removed. They will be installing stone approaches with safety precautions put in place.
