Weekly Update 8/25/20

This past week (August 17 – August 21) included ample progress for Phase 3 of the Streetscapes Project for Downtown Lafayette! All concrete work on 11th St. between Main and Ferry Streets was finished, and Huston Electric installed the new electrical panelboard. Work then moved back to Main St., where crews formed and poured the curb and gutter, followed by installing tree grates. Concrete crews will continue their progress this week (August 24 – August 28) finishing the sidewalk installation. *An important notice: Main Street will be closed on Wednesday, August 26th through Friday, August 28th between 9th and 11th Streets. The purpose of this closure is to install a fire hydrant and piping.
